Our Services
Louisiana Dyslexia Core Assessment
This assessment is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of your child's literacy development. By examining key areas related to reading, spelling, and language processing, we identify patterns of strength and challenge and determine whether characteristics of dyslexia are present. Upon completion, parents receive a thorough written report, a review conference to discuss findings, and practical recommendations that can be used to guide intervention, educational planning, and long-term success.
Individual Dyslexia Therapy
Individualized dyslexia therapy provides personalized, evidence-based instruction tailored to each student's unique learning needs. Through structured, multisensory intervention, students build essential reading, spelling, and fluency skills while gaining the confidence needed to become successful, independent learners.

Meet Julie Derenbecker, LDT, CALT
Julie Derenbecker is a Licensed Dyslexia Therapist and Certified Academic Language Therapist dedicated to helping students and families better understand reading challenges. She brings a warm, compassionate approach paired with professional expertise to every family she serves.
With specialized training in structured literacy and evidence-based assessment, Julie works closely with families and schools to identify specific literacy needs. She provides clear, actionable recommendations that empower parents and support meaningful student progress.
She believes every child deserves the opportunity to become a confident reader. Her assessments are designed to be thorough yet family-centered, ensuring that parents feel heard and supported throughout the entire process.
